English as a Second Language (ESL) Program

The English as a Second Language (ESL) Program at Greenwood ISD is designed to support students whose primary language is not English in developing proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The goal of the program is to help students become fluent in English while mastering the same challenging academic content as their peers.

Certified ESL teachers use proven instructional strategies and materials to help students develop language skills and confidence in the classroom. Greenwood ISD values the cultural and language diversity our students bring and is committed to helping every English learner succeed in school and beyond.
